Privacy Policy for ScrollStreet

Last updated: December 31, 2025

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how ScrollStreet (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information in connection with the ScrollStreet mobile application (the “App”).

Controller details: Yoav Grinberg, trading as “ScoreSprint”, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) registered in the Netherlands with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 98643762, with registered address: Telgen 13AR, Hengelo, the Netherlands.

If you have any questions, you can contact us at: yoavgrinberg1@gmail.com

2. Scope - What This Policy Covers

This Policy applies to:

  • Your use of the ScrollStreet mobile app, and
  • Any personal data you provide when you contact us directly (for example, by email).

It does not cover how Apple, Google, PostHog, Google AdMob, or other third parties handle your data when you use their services. Please refer to their own privacy policies and notices.

3. Summary

For the current version of the App:

  • We do not require an account
  • We do not ask for your name, email, or contact details inside the App
  • We use a privacy-focused analytics tool, PostHog, to understand how the App is used and to improve it. We configure it so that we do not use it for targeted advertising or to directly identify you.
  • The App includes optional rewarded ads provided by Google AdMob. Rewarded ads are shown only if you choose to watch an ad to receive an in-app reward.
  • We do not sell your personal data. We do not run our own cross-app or cross-site tracking, but Google’s ads SDK may process identifiers for ad delivery, measurement, and (depending on your choices/settings) ad personalization.

The main personal data we may process is:

  • Data about how you use the app (via PostHog)
  • Limited advertising-related data processed by Google via AdMob (see section 4.5)
  • Whatever you choose to send us if you email us or contact us for support.

4. Data We Process

4.1. Data stored locally on your device (game data)

The App stores the following data locally on your device using your device’s native storage (e.g. iOS UserDefaults):

  • Game progress and settings
  • In-app preferences (for example, sound, theme)

Important:

  • This data is stored on your device only.
  • It is not transmitted to our servers.
  • We do not have direct access to this data unless you choose to share it with us (e.g. via a screenshot).

Depending on your jurisdiction, data that lives only on your device may still legally be considered “personal data” because it relates to you. However, we do not see or control it.

4.2. Data you provide when you contact us

If you contact us (for example, by emailing yoavgrinberg1@gmail.com), we will process:

  • Your email address
  • Any information you include in your message (e.g. your name, device type, screenshots)

We use this information only to:

  • Read and respond to your message
  • Provide support and handle your request

Legal basis under GDPR (where applicable): legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) - our interest in communicating with users and running our business.

We do not use your email for newsletters or marketing unless you explicitly ask us to.

4.3. Usage data and analytics

We use PostHog to analyze how users interact with the App and to improve its features, performance, and user experience. Depending on how you use the App and how PostHog is configured, the information collected may include:

  • Usage events: screens you visit, buttons you tap, features you use, frequency and duration of sessions
  • Device and technical information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and similar technical metadata
  • Identifiers: a pseudonymous identifier generated by the App or PostHog so that we can understand returning usage without knowing who you are
  • Approximate location: for example, country or region derived from your IP address or device settings (we do not use this to pinpoint your exact address)
  • Diagnostics: performance metrics, errors, and crashes related to your session

We configure PostHog so that:

  • We do not use it for targeted advertising or sharing data with advertising networks
  • We do not knowingly send directly identifying data such as your real name, email address, or phone number from inside the App
  • Data is used in aggregate or pseudonymous form where possible

We use this data to:

  • Understand how users interact with the App
  • Detect bugs, crashes, and UX issues
  • Decide which features to improve, add, or remove
  • Measure the effectiveness of product changes and updates

Legal basis under GDPR (where applicable): legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) - our interest in understanding how the App is used and improving it.

PostHog acts as our data processor for this purpose and processes the data on our behalf in line with our instructions and their own privacy and security commitments.

4.4. Data collected by app stores and your device

When you download or use the App, Apple (and/or Google, if you build Android later) may process:

  • Device identifiers
  • Crash logs and diagnostics
  • Basic usage statistics

This information is processed under their own terms and privacy policies, not ours. We may see aggregated and anonymised statistics in the developer consoles (for example, number of installs, crashes per OS version), but we cannot identify you personally from this data.

4.5. Rewarded ads and advertising (Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK)

The App uses Google AdMob to show rewarded ads (ads you can choose to watch to receive an in-app reward).

When you view or interact with an ad, Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and process certain information, which can include:

  • Device and account identifiers (for example, advertising identifiers such as IDFA on iOS (if permitted) or Android Advertising ID, and other device identifiers)
  • IP address (which can be used to derive approximate location)
  • Ad interaction data (such as ad impressions, clicks, and other interactions)
  • Diagnostics and performance data related to ad delivery or the ads SDK

How this data is used: Google may use this information for ad delivery, reporting, measurement, fraud prevention, and (depending on your choices/settings) ad personalization.

Personalized vs non-personalized ads: where required (for example in the EEA/UK/Switzerland), we may present a consent flow to collect and apply your ad-related privacy choices. If you do not consent (or if consent is not available for a particular request), Google may serve non-personalized or contextual ads where supported.

iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT): on iOS 14.5+, access to the IDFA requires permission via Apple’s ATT prompt. If you do not allow tracking, ads may still be shown, but the IDFA will not be available in the same way.

You can learn more about Google’s data practices here: Google Privacy Policy.

5. No Financial or Payment Data

ScrollStreet is a simulator using virtual currency only.

  • We do not collect credit card numbers, bank account details, or other payment information.
  • All real-money purchases (e.g. in-app purchases, subscriptions) are processed by the Apple App Store (and/or Google Play in the future). We do not see your full payment details.

Please refer to the relevant app store’s privacy and payment terms for details.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Because ScrollStreet is a mobile app, it does not use “web cookies” in the same way a website does. However, SDKs can store or access information on your device.

  • We use PostHog analytics (see section 4.3) to collect usage data about how you use the App. This relies on device identifiers and in-app events, not web cookies.
  • We use Google AdMob for rewarded ads (see section 4.5). The Google Mobile Ads SDK may store or access information on your device and process identifiers for ad delivery, measurement, and (depending on your choices/settings) ad personalization.
  • Where required by law (e.g. GDPR / ePrivacy), we will ask for any consent required for ad-related processing before serving personalized ads where applicable.

If this changes in the future (for example, if we add new analytics providers or additional ad formats), we will update this Privacy Policy and our App Store privacy disclosures accordingly.

7. Data Retention

  • Local game data on your device: kept until you uninstall the App or delete the data via your device settings. We do not control this storage.
  • Emails and support messages: we keep these for as long as reasonably necessary to handle your request and keep records of our communications, and then delete or anonymise them unless we are required to retain them longer by law (for example, for accounting or legal purposes).
  • Analytics data (PostHog): we keep usage and analytics data for as long as necessary for the purposes described above (improving and maintaining the App), and then delete or anonymise it. In practice, this typically means a retention period of no longer than is reasonably needed to analyze trends and app performance.
  • Ad data (Google AdMob): ad-related data collected and processed by Google is retained under Google’s own retention practices and policies. We do not control Google’s retention of data collected via the Mobile Ads SDK.

You can always ask us to delete emails you have sent us (see “Your Rights” below). For analytics data, because it is pseudonymous and aggregated, it may not always be possible to identify your specific records, but we will assess any request on a case-by-case basis.

8. How We Protect Your Data

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any personal data we process (for example, email correspondence), including:

  • Limiting access to email and analytics accounts to the app owner and, where applicable, trusted service providers
  • Using reputable email, cloud, and analytics providers with appropriate security measures
  • Using strong authentication and access controls where available

However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for deciding what information you send to us.

9. Your Rights (EU / GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), including the Netherlands, you have rights under the GDPR regarding your personal data, including:

  • Right of access - to know what personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification - to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure - to ask us to delete your personal data
  • Right to restriction of processing - to limit how we use your data
  • Right to data portability - to receive your data in a machine-readable format (where applicable)
  • Right to object - to object to processing based on our legitimate interests

In practice, because we deliberately collect very little personal data, these rights mainly apply to:

  • Emails and other messages you send us
  • Any personal data that might be contained in analytics events (for example, if you have sent us screenshots or descriptions that end up being tied to a specific usage pattern)

To exercise your rights, contact us at yoavgrinberg1@gmail.com.

We may ask you for information to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the Netherlands, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

10. Children’s Privacy

ScrollStreet is not intended for children under 18, and our Terms of Service require users to be adults (or to use the App under the supervision of a parent or guardian, depending on how you set it up).

We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us (for example, via email), please contact us, and we will delete that information.

Note: ad platforms (including Google) provide settings intended to help developers request appropriate treatment for users who are under the applicable age thresholds, where relevant.

11. International Transfers

If you email us or we otherwise process personal data, that data may be stored on servers located outside your country (for example, email servers, analytics servers, or cloud providers).

This may include processing by our service providers such as PostHog, and processing by Google in connection with AdMob, which may involve servers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, the United States, or other jurisdictions, depending on provider infrastructure and configuration.

Where required by law, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection for such transfers, for example by:

  • Using reputable providers that implement standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards, and/or
  • Using data centers in jurisdictions recognised as providing an adequate level of protection.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example, if we add new features, change analytics, or change advertising).

When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the “Last Updated” date at the top, and
  • Where appropriate, notify you in the App or via the app store listing.

Your continued use of the App after the updated Policy has been posted will mean you accept the changes. If you do not agree, you should stop using the App and uninstall it.
